Lightning Process Practitioner Training & Qualifications

All of our practitioners have completed a minimum of 13 months of intensive clinical training at the Phil Parker Training Institute – much of this is delivered personally by Dr Phil Parker, which means that they are highly skilled and will deliver the Lightning Process to you in exactly the way Phil has designed.

Your practitioner knows how important your health is and that taking on new skills can take time, so they will provide support to help you during and after the course has finished.

If you would like to know more about the training, or wish to train yourself, you can find full details of the in-depth Lightning Process practitioner training program here – on our practitioner training site

It begins with clinical training in Ericksonian approaches to psychotherapy, NLP and coaching to help a range of physical and psychological issues.

Once this section is completed to the exam board’s satisfaction students move onto advanced approaches. These include understanding the way the brain, mind and body affect each other, current research in the field, neuroanatomy and physiology, and working with more complex needs including trauma, grief and inner conflict.

After this they can apply to take the LP practitioner training which focuses on being able to deliver the LP skillset, training in a group setting, deeper understanding of relevant anatomy and physiology, client assessment for suitability or referral, and shadowing experienced practitioners.

To gain entry to the Register of Lightning Process Practitioners, they must demonstrate skills and competence in delivering the training and have an in-depth knowledge of the relevant subjects required – these are assessed through written exams and practical exams in front of a board of experienced practitioners.

Lightning Process – Quality of Delivery

In order to be granted a licence to practice and be accepted onto the Register, our practitioners also need to maintain their Continuing Professional Development, undertake supervision and abide by the Register’s Code of Professional Conduct, which is available by emailing us.

The Lightning Process Register’s role is to ensure all those taking the LP receive the professional standard of service expected from our practitioners. A Professional Practice Board regularly monitors how the LP is being delivered and addresses any queries those taking the LP might have about professional conduct. If you wish to contact them please use this email.
